RinCon 2023

Ahoy there, gamers!  RinCon is on its way!

We spent months searching high and low for a new home for our convention, one that would allow us to offer the gaming community all the best in event space, amenities, and overall quality. After lengthy negotiations to ensure it was the right fit for our wallet and yours, we are pleased to announce that RinCon 2023 will be (drumroll……):

Thank you for your patience while we did all the behind-the-scenes work to get this set up, and we look forward to bringing you a RinCon to remember! Our theme this year is all things nautical/aquatical: from swashbuckling pirates to the treasures of Atlantis, from mermaids to submarine battles, from networks of oversea commerce to eldritch horrors of the deep, let’s get kraken with RinCon!

Tickets:
Our ticketing site is now open! See rincongames.com for the link and other information. Early registration pricing is available until May 21st.

Hotel:
$139/night in the Estrella tower (closer to the casino end of the property)
$159/night in the Del Sol tower (adjacent to the conference center)

Reservations made in the RinCon block come with a gift card for $20/night (Friday/Saturday nights only) that can be used throughout the resort at any of the restaurants or bars, the spa, and the gift shop. The hotel has provided a reservation code to use (see here for instructions), or you can call the resort at 1-855-SOL-STAY (765-7829) and book your rooms within the RinCon block. Rooms reserved outside the RinCon block or for other than Friday and Saturday evenings will not receive the vouchers. Block rates are available for dates 2 days on either side of our event, in case you’d like to stay for a resort vacation at our reduced rates!

Volunteer:
As always, RinCon is *your* event! We are a 100% community-based, volunteer-run organization, and are always looking for help in various capacities, both before and during the event. Fill out our volunteer form if you’d be interested in earning free or reduced price tickets for yourself and/or someone else!

GM sign-up:
We’re finalizing our new back end/scheduling database, so we don’t have it up quiiiiite yet. But start thinking about what you’d like to run, and keep in mind this year’s theme if you’d like a little extra bonus on top of the reduced price to free badge you’ll get for providing content for our event! We’ll send out an announcement just as soon as we’ve got the system up and running.

Family fundraiser game days:
On Sunday April 23 and Saturday May 20, we will hold game days at the new location to help fund our special guests and RinCon events, and so everyone can explore the new site and all its amenities. Hours are 10AM-10PM both days, and we’ve got plans for some fun special programming on the horizon. We’re also working out more local events at FLGSs, Bookmans, and various eateries, so keep an eye on our FB and website and these newsletters for news as details are finalized.
