Premier RPG Fundraiser: DCC Experiment for Charity 12 PM – 3 PM

Check out the first in this year’s series of premier role-playing sessions! It will be run remotely by Goodman Games’ Brendan LaSalle, GM extraordinaire and perennial RinCon luminary. Tickets are $25 and you can purchase your ticket here. Funds raised by this special session will all be donated to the Indie Game Developer Network’s Diversity Sponsorship, which supports a variety of programs in the realm of tabletop gaming that bring the voices of underrepresented minorities to the forefront around the world. The event will include all kinds of extras, including an exclusive swag bag and refreshments. A word from Brendan: “Some of the world’s greatest stories are told exactly one time by people with dice in their hands. This could be one of those times! Bring your imaginations and your hot dice! This is an experimental adventure with extra-narrative story structure elements. The players will help form the world and the adventure, creating a once-ever shared story event.”

This premier role playing event will take place in a private gaming room at Tucson Games & Gadgets at Tucson Mall, and we’ll have all kinds of extras to help set the mood, as well as a gift bag for each participant. Tickets are $25 and include a $15 credit for food and drink at the Short Rest Tavern. Purchase your ticket here.
“I do know one thing. I’ve seen strange things happen in the the Central Sea. But I know something else. Sea gives you an opportunity, you take it.”
In a remote region of the the Central Sea, a boat salvage crew discovers the eerie remains of a grand passenger ship thought lost for more than 50 years. But once onboard the ship, the crew discovers that the decaying vessel is anything but deserted. We’ll have maps, dice, props, minis and pregens made using the Genesys System and The Gods of New Braemar (an original setting by Ajey Pandey).
Themes & Influences:
- Gothic and cosmic horror (cf. Bloodborne, H.P. Lovecraft)
- Early industrial technology, augmented by magic (cf. Howl’s Moving Castle)
- The world is changing quickly, and the Central Sea is a spark away from total war
- Strange creatures haunt the seas and shores and isolated islands of New Braemar.

Play a rambunctious crew of pirates, testing their luck against the unpredictable winds of Fate. Your crew may be a strange group – and you can’t say that you trust them completely – but at a moment’s notice they’re ready to sail through monster-infested waters or scale a corrupt noble’s castle walls. Pirates, through and through.
This hybrid session will be run remotely by a professional GM from Magpie Games’ Curated Play Program. Tickets are $25 and you can purchase your ticket here. This session will be fully remote, and time/date will be decided by the participants and GM.
Sales for this ticket close on May 31st; after that point, the GM and players will collaboratively decide when to play the game over a mutually agreeable remote platform (Zoom, Discord, playroll, Roll20, etc.)
