Admiral Wade is the Lord Mayor of Flotsam Sanctorum. He thinks highly of himself and puts on aristocratic airs. He can be seen dressed in the latest stolen fashions and wigs that rival the court of the King. He has an affectation for strolling the atoll with his ornate walking stick and well-buckled shoes. Admiral Wade is a retired former Admiral of the Pirate Alliance and therefore has claimed the title in perpetuity.
Barbarossa is a crew member of the Crimson Skull. They have the sharpest eyes of any whoever sailed and spend most of their time in the crows nest. They are at home among the rigging as an eagle in its aerie.

Cal Rackham is first mate on the Jade Dragon. Upon first glance he seems to be a light-hearted fellow, quick with a grin—but that grin can easily turn deadly if he feels insult directed his way or towards his Captain. He will bear no scuttlebutt or he will show no quarter.
Captain Celia Tyde of the Silver Maid is far from a winsome lass as one can get. Folks call her the Sea Hag due to fearsome temper, but never to her face lest they see the sharp end of her cutlass. She is proud of her facial tattoos and wears her hair back to show them off to their full glory.
Captain Darkwater is an enigma. None know from where they hail, and none are brave enough to ask. With a terrible scar and the right eye removed, they wear a cloth that covers most of the disfigured half of their face. The other half is haggard and weathered, but in their one remaining eye burns a fierce and deadly light.
Captain Finn the Feared is a crafty fellow. He never gives quarter and seems to carry the luck of the four winds. Aye, it is as though the winds themselves shift to his favor. Some say he has a bit of the sea witch in him.
Captain Lady Cheng is as deadly a pirate as she is beautiful. There has been many a man she has killed that died smiling at the sight of her beauty, or so the tales be told. Her crew is steadfast and loyal to her and she to them. She has been often referred to as the Pirate Queen.
Captain Redeye Riley is the master of the Crimson Skull. He has a temper that burns faster than cannon fuse. Riley is fairly new to piracy, but it’s as though he was born to it. He will no doubt rival Burning Beard Brady before too long.
Dread Eddie Hampton is a man of few words and stoic demeanor. He is first mate on the Obsidian Vengeance. Hampton won’t be the first to start a fight, but he will be the one to finish it. His reputation alone keeps others at bay.
Fatima Bonny is a crew member of the Gilded Cannon. Her mother was a pirate, and she became a pirate. Swashbuckling is in her blood. She is ever at home upon the waves. She seeks to win enough booty to be a captain of her own ship one day.
Mad Marrow is the first mate on the Gilded Cannon. No one recalls how they got their name, but rumors abound. Marrow bears a scar on their forehead, that of a branded P. They wear a headscarf to cover it from view to hide shame of it.
Madame “Captain” Cassandra is the proprietor of the Sailor’s Respite tavern and brothel. She carries the title of “Captain” as an honorific as she runs her establishment like a well-run ship. The Sailor’s Respite caters to any and all who’ll mind their manners and pay their coin. As a “Captain” she has voting rights in the Pirate Alliance and is an esteemed personage of Flotsam Sanctorum.
Maise O’Malley is first mate on the Crimson Skull. She wears her long hair in so many braids she has the look of a walking cat-o-nine-tails. She is missing her left hand and covers it with a hook. In a sword fight she is a master of the cutlass.
Old Chipper is crew and carpenter on the Azure Wave. Old Chipper is long in the tooth for a seadog still serving aboard but has the energy of those far younger than them. Old Chipper is always muttering under their breath to themselves and talks in the third person. Old Chipper is an old salt.
Peg-Leg Peg has been a long-standing crew member on the Obsidian Vengeance. She may have the one leg, but she’ll drink anyone under the table. She is a master of the sea shanty and has a voice that make the sails fly themselves.
Renshaw Vance is first mate on the Silver Maid. Some say he has the devil in him for it’s as though he would be in shadow on a cloudless day. His every expression is a gloom that is only lit by a fierce fire burning in his eyes. Many a sailor crosses himself when Renshaw Vance passes by.
Retta the Sea Wolf is first mate on the Azure Wave. She is taller than most men on the land or sea and just as strong. Retta’s piercing eyes and statuesque physique make her a fearsome pirate. The trade routes whisper in awe of the Giantess of Georgetown.
Seadog Davies is crew on the Silver Maid. When they were but a youth, they were found adrift at sea. Due to an injury to their head, they had amnesia and forgot their name and who they were, so they were given the name Seadog Davies and taught the ways of piracy. Davies is always up for a bit of dice, grog, and merriment.
Toothless Treadwell has been the bosun for Captain Brady for many years. As their name would imply, they are toothless. They wear a set of whale bone dentures that have ornately carved scrimshaw etchings of teeth and filigree.
