Hey there, gamers – we’ve got some announcements and reminders for you!
First off, you can now view the schedule for RinCon 2025! Check out all the amazing programming we’ve got on tap for you this year. From game sessions with our special guests to Envoy state tournaments, from Kids’ Track programming for minigamers 6-12 years old to our Artemis spaceship bridge simulator, from the Indie RPG Arcade to the new hotness in board games, we’ve got something for everyone. Sign-ups will open on Sunday, September 21st at 2PM, so set yourself an alarm! And if there’s something that you really want to get to the table that you don’t see, you can still submit game sessions at this link, or just use one of the open gaming tables at the convention.
Second, you can buy your badges here. Cost is $72 for a weekend badge, $35 for minigamers ages 6-12, with single-day tickets also available. The casino will also have full meals on offer right in the conference center, and we’ve got deeply discounted tickets on sale (until supplies run out). Your savings will be ~30% off the cash prices w/tax that the casino will charge onsite, and you won’t have to walk all the way to the various food venues in the casino area. Each ticket will be good throughout the weekend for one meal or beverage of the designated type on any day it’s available (no breakfast on Friday, no dinner on Sunday). There may be a limited number of concessions tickets available at the RinCon registration desk during the convention as well, but wouldn’t you rather not have to worry about anything once you get to RinCon? Third, follow these instructions to make your hotel reservation. The DEADLINE to get our room block pricing is 5:00 AM on Thursday, September 18th! After that, all remaining rooms in our block will be released to the general hotel reservation pool. There’s a Kevin Hart show at Ava Amphitheater that weekend, so the hotel *will* sell out. It is very unlikely that there will be any rooms left for walk-up reservations, so GET YOUR ROOM NOW! Also, if you need to cancel your reservation after Thursday 9/18 at 5:00 AM, PLEASE don’t just cancel it. Find a friend who hasn’t made their reservation yet, post in the Discord, or contact us and let us know, and the hotel is happy to transfer your reservation to a RinCon attendee who needs it. If you just cancel, the room also goes back to the general hotel reservation pool instead of our block, and will likely get snapped up by a comedy fan.
Fourth, we are still looking for volunteers in several areas, especially registration desk on Saturday afternoon and packing up/load-out after the convention is over on Sunday. RinCon is a 100% volunteer-run, community-driven event – it can’t happen without us all coming together and taking part! Take a look at the shifts we have open, and if you find a task that suits you, sign up and get a free day of badge for every 4 hours you help. Be a part of the awesome community that is RinCon!!
Speaking of the people who make RinCon happen, discount codes for all GMs and volunteers are going out now. Our ticketing champion is busily sending out emails to all of you wonderful people to ensure that each of you gets exactly the right kind of code for the right day(s) you’ll be at RinCon – please keep an eye on your email feed and reply immediately so you can get your badge!
And lastly, on this Tuesday evening, September 16th, we will be uploading the information for all purchased badges to the Sched site (where you view and sign up for game sessions at RinCon). If you’ve purchased your badge by then, you’ll get an email with instructions on how to log into your Sched account, or create one if this is your first time coming to RinCon. LOOK FOR THAT EMAIL, FOLLOW THE INSTRUCTIONS, AND MAKE SURE YOU CAN LOG IN BEFORE SIGN-UPS GO LIVE ON SUNDAY! That way you’ll be able to get yourself a seat at your favorite game session at RinCon 2025.
