PIZZA!!!
First off, don’t forget about the MOD Pizza fundraiser this Sunday, 7/27! It’s all day long at a bunch of locations all over southern AZ (see flyer for participating stores), so that’s your Sunday lunch/dinner plans sorted. 🙂 Use the code MODGIVES25 for any in-person, in-app, or online order for us to get the credit and the percentage of profits (which help fund special programming at the convention). We’ll be at the Broadway/Wilmot location with board games to play from 11AM to 9PM – hope to see you there! And feel free to give everyone you know the attached flyer; you don’t have to be a gamer to benefit RinCon, you just have to enjoy a good pizza or salad.
FAMILY GAME DAY FUNDRAISER
Secondly, our next Family Game Day is coming up in about a month, so get that on your calendar. On Saturday August 23rd from 10AM – 10PM at the Casino Del Sol Conference Center (5655 W. Valencia Rd., Tucson), we’ll have our usual raffles and board game library. Plus we’re also hosting several special events throughout the day:
Premium TTRPG sessions
Professional GM Malcolm Brewmaster of Encounter: Mastering Dungeons will be offering two private, “bespoke” RPG sessions with gift bags and snacks for players and table props and special effects to set the mood. Murder Mystery LARP
Did you miss the murder mystery adventure at RinCon 2024? Love to solve mysteries? Always wanted to be a mythical forest creature? This game day will include a repeat run of last year’s event: An Untimely End in the Enchanted Forest! Click here to choose which of the woodland denizens you want to play and reserve your spot. Participants will get goodies and swag!

“The soft glow of the willowisps and fireflies dance amidst the moon dappled grove of the ancient woods. The heady scents of flowers and earth waft upon the cool evening breeze. The rustle of leaves, the babbling brook, and soft sounds of the denizens of the forest entwine with the music of flutes and harps floating through the velvety night. Before you stand a henge of tall stone pillars reflecting the brilliant light of the full moon. A shock shudders through you as you take in the grisly scene before your eyes! In the center of the standing stones, lies a battered and bloody form. Can you solve this hideous crime?”

Thirdly, the site to sign up to run games at RinCon (Oct 3-5) IS NOW OPEN and taking submissions. For every 4 hours of programming you provide, you’ll get one day of your RinCon badge free. Got a game you want to get to the table? The best way to be sure you get to play it is to check the box “GM will be playing in game,” which reserves a seat for you. And remember, if your game fits with this year’s theme of CITIES, you’ll get a RinCoin when it’s run.

As for tickets to the main event, we’re alllllllmost done working with the casino on the menu for the meals for purchase at the concessions.
