In this new twist on a classic word game, players use their seven drawn letter or number tiles to form words on the gameboard. Each word laid out earns points based on the commonality of the letters used, with certain board spaces giving bonuses. But a word can only be played if it uses at least one already-played tile or adds to an already-played word. This leads to slightly tactical play, as potential words are rejected because they would give an opponent too much access to the better bonus spaces. Also, there are bonus points for using numbers in place of letters and bonus for also using all numbers.

Tribes has been a convention favorite for many years. The Second Edition streamlines play further and upgrades the components to a level expected by modern gamers. In Tribes, the players are cave men and women. They hunt and gather food, make their tribal laws, and deal with natural disasters. But the object of the game is simple: Look after the children! In this game, the way to win is to have the most kids, and do whatever you have to do to make sure they survive to adulthood. The players must know when to cooperate, and when to cut their losses and protect their own families. Tribes supports 4 to 8 players, creating their own laws and social patterns. With several copies and a referee, it is possible to have several tribes playing at once, competing, trading, exchanging members, and even making war on each other. Saturday 10pm to morning 2am: LA-102—Phoenix Sword Of Caine - oWOD SabbatLA (oWOD Met Sabbat)
This event is for 9 to 80 players. There are available seats.
Welcome to Phoenix Cainites! The Diocese of Phoenix has seen much turmoil in the last year. After the former Bishop of War led the Diocese of Phoenix into a slaughter while attempting to siege the Camarilla domain of Los Angeles, the Camarilla led a counter assault directly into the largest Diocese in Arizona. Archbishop Reyes rallied Cainites to the Diocese under siege, asking any who were willing to aid to come to Phoenix and fight back the Camarilla incursion. Over six months the Camarilla was forced out of Sabbat territory and forced to retreat to their Havens in Los Angeles. Now the Sabbat rallies again, bolstered with numbers which make them one of the largest Diocese in North America. Los Angeles is the crown jewel on the West Coast, and the Diocese of Phoenix intends to make it their own. Now on the second week of October, the Sabbat of Arizona have decided to congregate in the Diocese of Tuscon to discuss current events, plan new offensives, and address some local issues which have started to surface. _____________________ This is an ongoing Sabbat troupe game held in Tempe, AZ once (sometimes twice) a month. We have been running since last December, and have featured attendances as high as 80. The game is a pleasant mix of Sabbat politics, path exploration and personal horror, and of course, a violent siege on a Camarilla Domain packed with Elders and Ancillae. Power level-wise, the game is considered very vanilla. The rarest clan we have is a Salubri-anti (common in the Sabbat), and there is no Thaum, woogie Disciplines, or even any 8th gen PCs. The focus of this game is good roleplay and character story, not 'what cool power can I get today'. NPC's will be made available for new players interested in checking out the game. Players are welcomed to join us after the convention for future games, and can convert their NPC's into PC's, or create new PC's of their own. We can't wait to see you there.

Bisbee in 1922, the world's leading copper production site. The mines are running at full capacity and the discontent of the miners is a thing of the past. It seemed a miracle that so few died in transit. In one of the deepest shafts of the Copper Queen Mine, however, one of those exiled miners has been found dead. Even more strange than his return to Bisbee is how his body was found. Rumblings of work stoppage begin circulating in Brewery Gulch, but not over unfair labor practices. This time it is over rumors that the mines of Bisbee are cursed. The mining consortiums have turned to the Theron Marks Society, investigators of the paranormal. Can its members find out what is going on under the Mule Mountains before the mining industry dries up like globe of tumbleweed? 6 players - pre-generated characters included.

Kill the monster, grab the treasure, stab your buddy. That's what it's all about. Now, Munchkin comes to the boardgame. You'll build your dungeon, a room at a time, from 24 heavy, double-sided tiles. Each shows a different room... some are good for certain characters, some are bad. Populate it with monster standies and let your munchkins run amok! Cooperate with the whole group, adventure with a partner, or strike out on your own. You don't know what's behind a door until you open it... then another room is added to the dungeon. Battle monsters for power and treasure, or send them after your friends. Reach Level 10, and then get out alive if you can... Designed by Steve Jackson and illustrated by John Kovalic, this boardgame doesn't take itself seriously. Except for the loot – munchkins are always serious about the loot! Presented by your Arizona Men in Black.
