Your weekend of gaming goodness awaits!

Gamers!

Get your game on at RinCon '09! When it comes to gaming, RinCon '09 has everything you're looking for in a major convention right here in the heart of the Old Pueblo. RinCon '09 has the game to match your play style. In fact, we've built the programming schedule around this very concept with gaming tracks to match your style of game.

Our events are run by trained volunteers who are enthusiastic to share their love of the hobby with you and your friends.

New players are welcome to get a wide sampling of games by signing up for our Gateway Games Track or by checking out games from the ever-expanding SAGA Game Library. Rules will be taught, so no previous gaming experience is needed to enjoy the fun.

Casual players will love to see old friends and make new ones from the hundreds of attendees that will be attending. Flexible scheduling with lots of open gaming gives you the opportunity find the right gaming programming that meets your fancy. Rub elbows with your favorite game designers and gaming industry celebrities when you play in one of our special Play with the Creator Tracks.

But if you're a Master Gamer, then RinCon '09 is the only place to be this Columbus Day Weekend. Dive into full gaming immersion with programming designed to appeal to the most devoted hobby enthusiasts -- officially sponsored events by your favorite game company, moneyed tournaments and regional qualifiers and Master Track strategy game competition from some of the smartest players in all of the Southwest.

Whatever style of play you're looking for, RinCon '09 has the programming to let you get your game on!

Gaming Events!

RinCon '09 has your social calendar booked solid all weekend. This year's theme is Zombie Apocalypse, so get into character and come dressed for the fun.

Check out the Masquerade Friday night and vote along with the celebrity judges to nominate your favorite costume.

After a full day of gaming events, enjoy the coolest party out there at the Zombie Homecoming Party on Friday night. Celebrate the season with live music, dancing, tasty beverages and enough candied brain cake to quench the blood thirst of the hungriest zombie horde. RinCon '09's Zombie Homecoming ate the dark heart of your last mundane homecoming party and is ready to show how the undead really party. Reanimate a date for the night and get your Homecoming photos taken for free!

Gaming Industry!

Because so many members of the Southern Arizona Gamers Association (SAGA) actually work very closely within the hobby games industry, RinCon has the ability to bring your favorite gaming companies and developers right here to our beautiful city.

This means that RinCon has the caliber of special guests you'd expect from one of the national-scale conventions, except in a more intimate local convention environment. In fact, Arizona (and the Southwest in general) is headquarters to several prominent gaming companies and is the home to a growing community of hobby games industry professionals. You'll get a chance to meet them all at our special events.

We understand that many companies not local to the Southwest want to attend but simply can't afford the marketing expense to visit. To this end, SAGA wants to work closely with these companies and their demo teams so that the company's support can be felt directly without having to cover the expense of exhibiting. Local conventions like RinCon are the perfect way to generate grass-roots support for your product. If you're a gaming company interested in having one of your demo teams run events, please contact us today so that we can get your titles listed in our programming guide.

However, SAGA does not only work with established game companies and constantly looking for would-be game designers that haven't yet had the chance to create that brilliant new game that will revolutionize our hobby. In addition to hosting educational and practical seminars on game design, discussion panels and interviews with professional game designers year-wide, SAGA is very proud to be host to Tucson's second annual professional game design workshop at RinCon '09.
