RinCon '08 Guests of Honor
Get in on the ground floor of RinCon! In addition to all the Gaming Goodness, RinCon '08 features guests and seminars with Jess Hartley, famed RPG writer and developer, and Protospiel West's Michael Nickoloff.
Jess Hartley
Jess Hartley is a celebrated developer for White Wolf Game Studio, one of the largest roleplaying game companies in the industry today. She is best known for her work on the World of Darkness title, Changeling: the Lost which has won 8 Ennie awards, including Product of the Year 2007, and is arguably White Wolf's top selling game line. Her latest project has been helping design White Wolf's Hunter: The Vigil game line, which debuted this year at GenCon with much fan fare.

Jess Hartley is also a novelist, writer, and freelance writer/editor throughout the gaming industry. She is the creator of Forsoothly Spoken, a regular feature with Renaissance Magazine, which also publishes many of her articles and book reviews. Her first novel, In Northern Twilight, was a runner-up for Pen & Paper's 2004 Fan Awards in the category of Best RPG-Related Novel/Anthology. She has edited several roleplaying games, including The Lemurian Candidate written by Andrew Kenrick of SteamPower Publishing, which was nominated for an ENnie in the category of Best Adventure in 2006.

Rick Loomis
Rick Loomis is an Origins Hall of Fame inductee (a tribute to his thirty plus years in the industry), the first and current president of the Game Manufacturer's Association, the professional trade association that governs the hobby games industry, and the founder and president of Flying Buffalo Inc, the oldest Adventure Game company still under its original management. Try to beat Rick at his own game here at RinCon '08!
Rick also was the first person ever to buy a computer (in 1972) solely to play games on it! He also wrote the first solo adventure for a role playing game (Buffalo Castle for Tunnels & Trolls) and designed all of the expansion sets for the popular Nuclear War card game (Nuclear Escalation, Nuclear Proliferation, and Weapons of Mass Destruction).

Michael Nickoloff
Michael Nickoloff is the Chief Executive Officer of Sorvent, Inc. and a co-founder of Protospiel West, a convention started in 2006 that brings together fledging game designers and playtesters to network, test games and share ideas on how to get new games into the marketplace. Protospiel West provides a professional and structured forum to assist game designers by giving them targeted feedback on how to make their games more successful.

John Wick
John Wick is an author and game designer best known for his creative contributions to the AEG's Legend of the Five Rings and 7th Sea. He self-published Orkworld under his Wicked Press banner and later co-founded the Wicked Dead Brewing Company with Jared Sorensen.
John won several Origins Awards for his work on AEG's roleplaying and card game lines. Other writing credits include working for companies such as White Wolf, PEG, NeoPets, Upper Deck and Totally Games.
